Hubpages and search engine ranking

Search Engine

Search engine ranking is important if you want to get the word out about something. It is definitely not the only way to get traffic to your hubpages but when a hubbers subject makes it to the first page of a search engine listing then it gives a hubber more confidence to continue writing. This boost in confidence is amplified by the number of pages that a topic is mentioned on webpages.

Search Engine algorythm

A search engine algorythm is a formula written in computer language and this algoryth's intention is to seek out certain content qualities of webpages. The robots are written by professional coders and if these robots, also called agents, spiders and other names do  their jobs as intended then the internet user gets quality goods on the first pages when he or she looks up a certain keyword or a key phrase.

SEO or search engine optimization is an entire subject that is mentioned everywhere since the proper use of keywords and keyphrases, or long tail words, can mean the difference between being found on the internet and being buried in the crowd.

I wrote a page on the power behind web bots and mentioned how a few people got together and wrote spiders that were meant to data mine the internet and return information that could be used as a predictor of future events. Whether the webbot project devised by Cliff High and George Ure works is a matter of opinion. It does however show the power of these spiders.

The image above is meant to show that hubpages can rank well with search engines if the content on the page is well presented. The hubpage in mind was written only a week ago and already it has impressed the spiders or google algorythms. This happens often with material i write but in this Caduceus Medical Symbol page it was a joy to see myself on a search engines first page when the robot could have selected any of 13 million other pages on the internet that uses  or mentions this long tail keyword phrase.

Game plan

The above image of my page called Caduceus Medical Symbol shows that hubpages and search engine rankings can be of benefit to anyone looking for extra traffic.

While the content of the page is proven to have pleased a robot spider and it's algorythm this does not however mean that the human reader will enjoy reading the page.

This is where staying at the top of a search engines list will be made. How long a certain page stays at the top of the field for a keyword or key phrase relies heavily on the public perception of the content.

You can fool a robot but not a human viewer.

So for the time being i am confident that if i use the Caduceus hubpage as a blueprint for how i write content for a subject then i have a pretty solid game plan.

A good search engine ranking especially with a topic that is often searched is a confidence booster.

It makes my hubpages experience more enjoyable.

Ranking in Search Engines is a game of snakes and ladders

Snakes and Ladders

Having hubpages and search engine ranking work in synchronicity is a little like playing a game of snakes and laddder.

A well written hubpage full of content will wisk the hubbers confidence up the ladder and a poor webpage is a ride down the slithering serpents slimy back.

But a bad page with good content might simply need a little work to make it's way up the next ladder, which may even boost the page up to a higher position than the previous position.

Update for hubpages and search engine ranking

This is another hubpage that found its way into the google search bots files within a day of being published.

It could be found on the first page in first position for the words robotic medical snake. Good but there were only 671 thousands pages competing for that spot.

For a more specific key phrase like medical snake which showed over 9 million competing pages it went to first place on page two of the google search engine.

Just goes to prove that hubpages and search engine rankings seem to like each other.

Or maybe it's my writing that is so powerful that the robots have an affinity for me.

If so i'll take the one with blond hair and blue eyes.....non smoker preferably....

Judge for yourself by linking to the hubpage in question listed below....

Search engine ranking

Search engine ranking with hubpages is no fluke. I completed this hub in about 3 hours and published it. Within 2 hours the spiders at google had come around and found my hub and it impressed the web bot enough to rank on the first page where 14 million other choices could have easily been there.

It would be stupid of me to think that the page will stay up in the search engine ranking forever but other pages that i listed earlier are still holding there status. Nothing lasts forever but this page called volunteer your computer is a serious look at how the general public, or anyone with a pc and a connection to the internet can become a player and member of a grid computing.

I am really impressed with hubpages and i wish my blogs could rank so easily. In a sense i kind of feel a bit cheated by that since the material on my blogs is written with as much care as my volunteering your computer hubpage.

The ease at which hubpages rank with google sort of goes against my principles of objectivity always being more important than subjectivity. It's almost like favoritism and favoritism as a way of burying good talent.

But that's just my opinion.....

Google loves hubpages and this is proof

I'm blonde with blue eyes and a definite non-smoker...

But seriously, I'm new to all of this and have found that the first page ranking goes hand in hand with quality human content and a topic that is a small niche.

Think Big Fish in a Little Pond.

I specialise in yoga and meditation but wrote a hub this week on finding a nanny that went to page one ranking on Google immediately.

You have written a good hub. Thanks for sharing what you know.
