NUCLEAR (ATOMIC) THEORY

Mankind has for long made use of the energy of flowing water and the energy given out in the burning of wood and charcoal. The first is an instant of gravitational energy and the second that of Chemical energy (which is essentially electrical in origin). In recent years an entirely new energy process, roughly a million times more powerful than any chemical process, has been discovered. The source of this energy lies in the force called "nuclear force" which operates between the constituents, protons and Neutrons of atomic nuclei. It should be observed that unlike gravitational and chemical energy the harnessing of Nuclear energy, also called atomic energy - demands deep insight and considerable progress in fundamental science as distinct from the empirical arts and crafts. The discovery and manipulation of Nuclear energy has only been possible after a gruesome struggle in the acquirement of systematized knowledge and continuous scientific progress, and a set up of elaborate economic system, for centuries.

All matter consists of atoms. The atoms are further coagulated into molecules. All atoms consist of a central core, called the Nucleus that is the heart, around which revolve the electrons, like the planets that revolve around the sun. All nuclei are built from two fundamental particles -- protons and neutrons. The neutron is electrically neutral. The proton has a positive charge equal and opposite to the charge of electron. A neutron is slightly --one part in 759 - heavier than proton which has 1836 times the mass of an electron. A neutron outside a nucleus is an unstable particle: It has a half life of about quarter of an hour and decays into a proton and an electron.

The atom:-

The mass number (A) of a nucleus is a number of neutrons and protons contained in it. The number of protons defines the atomic number (Z) of the nucleus. The atomic number is characteristic of an element, for example, it is one for Hydrogen, 38 for Strontium and 92 for Uranium. For the same element there can exist nuclei having different values of the mass number (A). They are called isotopes of the given element. A nuclear species (Nuclide) is specified by assigning values for Z and A, Thus Z = 92, A=235, generally written as Uranium-235 (U-235). Uranium 238 contains 92 protons and 146 neutrons, making a total of 238 nucleons -- a "nucleon" stands for either a proton or a neutron. The protons and neutrons are most strongly bound in nuclei of moderate mass numbers, and the binding is relatively weak in heavy as well as light nuclei. It is on this account that heavy nuclei liberate energy on fission and light nuclei on fusion.

(3) The atoms of some elements may have the same atomic number that is the number of protons, but may have different mass numbers that is different number of neutrons contained in the nuclei. For example, the atomic number of Chlorine is 17 that are the Chlorine nucleus has 17 protons. But one Chlorine atom may have 18 neutrons to make the mass number as 35, while another Chlorine atom may have 20 neutrons to make the mass number as 37. Yet they are the atoms of Chlorine, and are called isotopes. This particular kind of variation is of interest to us in this work because the isotopes represent different states of a nucleus that is the heart of the atom. These hearts are in a way in a state of disturbance. The atomic weight is the relative weight of atom.

(4) Fission Process:-

Fission means division of a nucleus into smaller nuclei. Of all the fissile materials the Uranium-235 has been discovered as the most suitable for the fission purpose. If a uranium nucleus is broken into two nuclei of nearly the same size, energy will be released. The process in which a heavy nucleus such as Uranium is broken into two intermediate, nuclei with the release of energy is called a fission reaction or nuclear fission.

When an isotope of Uranium-235 is bombarded with the slow neutrons, fission takes place spontaneously. The neutron strikes at the heart of uranium atom and it splits the nucleus into two approximately equal daughter nuclei, say Krypton and Barium Nuclei, knocking out 2 or 3 (The average is 2.5) neutrons from the nucleus of U-235 atom. These two or three knocked out neutrons strike in turn at the heart of 2 or 3 other atoms and knock out 2 or 3 neutrons each and so on so forth, the process continues. And it is then said that a fission chain reaction is built up. Till the whole mass of U-235 becomes incandescent and eventually explodes with wrath, for, the hearts of the atoms having been disturbed, to an ultra-natural extremity, the resultant commotion has approached a limit, where the natural sustenance becomes impossibility.

(5) Fusion Process:-

In fusion process, simply lighter nuclei are fused together. A fusion process can be realized in a variety of ways, e.g. by bombarding light elements with charged particles obtained from cyclotron and other high-energy-particle accelerators. The fusion process however becomes possible only at exceedingly high temperatures of the order of millions of degrees. The explosion of nuclear bomb using fission chain reaction develops a temperature of the requisite degree and is utilized in achieving fusion reaction in the fusion (that is Hydrogen) bomb. The simplest explanation of this fusion reaction from our point of view could be is that the nucleus (heart) of an atom is fused with the nucleus (heart) of another atom, and the energy is released, when the two hearts are crushed together.

(6) But the nefarious feature of the whole matter is the radiations that are Alpha, Beta, Gamma rays and neutrons which are essentially emitted in the fission reaction. These radiations are undetectable by the five senses, and are not only poisonous, but perniciously, rather wickedly poisonous. They not only kill, but they also cause leprosy, cancer and inheritable monstrosity. These radiations make no difference whether the nuclear (atomic) energy is produced for peaceful purposes, or as a weapon for war destruction. Thus a phrase like “Nuclear Energy for Peaceful Purposes" is only a misnomer and a self-deception, rather a blindness of deluded Humanity.

SAVIGN MANKIND FROM NUCLEAR DEVASTATION

Last but not the least is a universal peril towards which I want to bring your kind attention; that is the imminent threat of Nuclear War to devastate this beautiful universe of ours. The circumstances reveal now that to mankind is left no alternative but either to vanish under the hails of atomic bombs suddenly, or to perish slowly, lingeringly and painfully under the stings of the radiation of atomic energy. For your kind information Sir , all the conceptions , causes and characteristics of the appearance of atomic bombs and also remedial measures to be taken to save this mankind and world from the nuclear doomsday , have been revealed in the QURAN fourteen hundred years ago just in 36 words of chapter ALHOMAZA -(104).

I know a learned Scholar who is well-versed in this specific topic. He is leading anonymous life and has forty years of long and continuous research on this topic of the Quran. He has written 14-Volumes, all in English, to save this world from nuclear doomsday in the light of this warning and prophecy of the Quran about atomic hell. But unfortunately this unfortunate scholar is lacking financial resources to publish this remarkable work of Quran in Europe to warn the people about the hazards of atomic energy. I think, being Muslims and the followers of the Quran, this responsibility lies on our shoulders to publish in Europe, this prophecy, warning and remedies given by the Quran. We should enter 21st century with this message and warning of the Quran about atomic hell, in our hands, not necessarily on political grounds but on social, literary and religious grounds. Publishing this missionary series named as the “GABRIEL’S EXTINGUISHING THE ATOMIC-HELL SERIES” of 14-volumes about 3000 pages, in Europe, we can make the people of atomic powers aware about the hazards of atomic bombs.

He claims that he had been assigned this great mission of saving mankind from nuclear doomsday with the help of this warning and prophecy of the Quran, by HAZRAT IBRAHEEM in 1942 near BAGHDAD SHARIF. I am sure that you will certainly bestow upon this great spiritual personality some minutes from your precious time to hear the explanation of this warning of the Quran with your ears. It will be interesting for you that in 1963, this person, in a debate with MISS ANNE MARRIE SCHIMEL (a well-known German scholar) at Lahore, made her admit this truth of the same prophecy of the Quran. Then she turned to the teachings of Islam, Iqbal and mysticism. She said that she should be buried in the grave-yard of MACKLY in Sind which shows that at heart she had become Muslim.

ATOMIC HELL, ATOMIC SCIENTISTS AND THE QURAN REMINISCENT GLIMPSES

“I draw your attention to the possibility as is indicated by some work of Fermi and Szillard of utilizing the phenomenon of Uranium Fission for the construction of extremely powerful (weight for weight) bombs of a new type, a million times more powerful than conventional bombs. A single bomb of this type carried by boat and exploded in a port, might very well destroy the whole port together with some of the surrounding territory”.(Einstein’s Letter to President Roosevelt, August 2, 1939)

Now mark the hope and the intention of this great scientist, and see his expectation of the possibility of a weapon, a million times more destructive than the conventional bombs. A bomb million times more powerful than the conventional bomb is the ideal of a member of a community (the scientist community), which is acclaimed as the benefactor community of mankind. Mark also the uncertainty of the expression of this greatest of scientist, and mark in comparison the unfaltering and decisive mode of expression of the prophecy of the Quran. Again observe that Einstein at the time of his writing his letter to the President of America was himself quite in the dark about the ruinous hazards of Radio-activity that were to be incident on atomic energy. His eye only had caught the destructive capacity of the atomic bomb itself. And as you will gradually understand better. You will yourself be able to find the difference not only between the doubtful expression of Einstein in his letter against the clear cut and decisive mode of the expression of the prophecy, but also between the limitations of human mind and the infallible omniscience of the Quran that has given in its prophecy, a final, decisive and complete word on the entire subject of atomic phenomenon in only fourteen words. The profundity of the word of God in this respect is unique and indeed beyond human power.

Einstein, however, was destined to see the results of his erroneous suggestion in his life-time, and then this conscience-smitten physicists was obliged in face of the impending dangers of atomic bombs to sound a warning to mankind crying:-

“Here is, then, the problem which we present to you, dark and dreadful and inescapable. Shall we put an end to the human race or shall mankind renounce war? People will not face this alternative because it is so difficult to abolish war........There lies before us, if we choose continued progress in happiness, knowledge and wisdom. Shall we choose death because we cannot forget our quarrels? Remember your humanity and forget the rest. If you cannot, there lies before you the risk of universal death" (An extract from a statement issued in July, 1955 under the signature of Albert Einstein, Percy W. Bridgman, Leopold Infield, Herman J. Muller, and Cecil F. Powell. Joseph Rotblat, Bertrand Russell, Hedeki Yukawa, and Jean Fredric Joliot, in Science 122, 189, 1955).

This heartfelt appeal of the essence of scientists and philosophers of the world, were it not for the charge of ingratitude on our part, was, inspite of all the great names involved in it, no more than an absurd piece of touching rhetoric that lacked both the scientific and philosophical worth, for, how little these great celebrities could be seen to understand the topic. They so touchingly warned against in their most pathetic appeal to mankind. There is not so much as an illusion toward the real causes of all the trouble, the causes which the Quran in its prophecy has so clearly, so distinctly and so succinctly pointed out. These gentlemen seem to beat about the bush all the while in their warning. They spoke of banning the war which is impossibility in the present greedy, materialistic and competitive set up in a world that suffered from world mania. They hoped that mankind in these circumstances may be able to relinquish war and forget their quarrels, yet they said not a word about the actual root of these quarrels. They confined their whole thought to the danger of atomic bombs, while they completely closed their eyes from the greater danger that of the atomic radiations, or else they would never have uttered things like continued progress in happiness, knowledge and wisdom, in the presence of the atomic energy. Neither, therefore their wish of banning the atomic war, nor that of continued progress in happiness, knowledge and wisdom could be granted as long as the basic causes that of slander and greed existed in the world. The only truth in their appeal, namely the universal death, could be found to countenance the fact. It hardly needs to state that the appeal of these luminaries inspite of all their sincerity and sympathy was doomed to fall on deaf ears throughout the world and the stock-piles went on increasing without a scruple on the part of their builders, and the test explosions continued as they continue to this day despite the most alarming warnings of the scientists.

(2)Our mind wanders towards the Stagg-field university of Chicago in America where our eye is caught by the following inscription on the wall of the first atomic reactor of Fermi, the great Italian physicist:-

“On August 2, 1942, men achieved here the first self-sustained chain-reaction and thereby initiated a controlled release of Nuclear energy”.

Our mind wondered, at this so high-toned acclamation of man’s triumph, and with it emerged before the eye of our mind a picture of the ruin of mankind involved in unimaginable miseries of atomic wars and atomic radiations of the atomic-energy-for-peace, all wrapped up in an atmosphere of a most grievous doom of man. The inscription in question, we hear, has been torn down lately, but, alas, who will tear down all the reactors and all the stockpiles in the world until he has torn the heart of man away from the greed of wealth and gold, and cleansed it of slander.

(3)“One event occurred in 1945 of such magnitude that it was to revolutionize our relations with the world, and usher a new era for humanity, the fruits and goals and problems of which we cannot even now fully grasp”.

(The Memoirs of President Trueman 1956)

The results of the event of 1945 might have been a little ambiguous in 1945, but by 1956 the fruits and the goals and the problems of the event of 1945 could in no way be considered as ambiguous. The fruits of the event of 1945, are, atomic bombs, hydrogen bombs, hell bombs, super bombs, atomic missiles, ionizing radiations, warts, cysts, cancers, haemorrhages, genetic disorders and chimerical babies. Its problems are a constant fear, infinite apprehension, eternal dread and universal anarchy. The goal simply is a mutual annihilation of life after a continued spell of untold miseries and afflictions.

(4)The verdict of Bertrand Russell:-

“Since Adam and Eve ate the apple, man has never abstained from any folly which he was capable of, and the end is the destruction through atomic bombs”.

The pamphlet in which this verdict of Russell has appeared bears cartoons that show that Russell did understand the cause of destruction of men, namely, greed, and tyranny. Russell as is well-known, was a great champion of humanity against the atomic war, and though his verdict on the end of mankind is a clear cut one, his endeavour against the basic causes of greed lacked the necessary sharpness of a view. His voice was simply choked under the weight of the overwhelming circumstances prevailing in the world, and his heart might have wept at his own helplessness as well as of the world in such circumstances.

(5)An appeal of the scientists most wanted but not forth-coming as yet:-

“The last and final appeal which we now make to you is, that the atomic energy, whether it is used for war or whether it is used for peace, is equally destructive. Renounce therefore every thought of utilizing this source of energy, or be prepared to meet a destruction of a kind so painful as has no precedent in whole human history. Try to make yourself content with less plenty, nay even with scarcity, nay even if you are in the danger of dying of hunger, and at once destroy every source of atomic energy

THE ACTIVITIES OF MODERN NEMRUDS, ALLAMA MUHAMMAD IQBAL AND MANIFESTO OF ABRAHAMIC MISSION

The fact that of conflict between two opposite forces in this world is no unusual thing. This universe itself is created basically on this very principle of conflict between darkness and light. Evil set against good, so that not a Prophet of Allah appeared that had not his adversary. Abraham in his time had one such as Nemrud. Nemrud had cast Abraham in the burning pyre. Abraham emerged from the flames without so much as a single hair signed on his body. Today the Baconian Nemrud has enkindled the pyre for all mankind. History repeats itself. The difference only is that while the ancient Nemrud had enkindled a pyre of ordinary chemical fire, this modern Nemrud has enkindled the atomic pyre. With a very sophisticated name that of nuclear pyre, and has called it nuclear power while it actually is the nuclear pyre. The spirit of Abraham of sympathy for the creation of Allah has risen to contest with the spirit of Democritus. Democritus enkindling the atomic fire, and trying to raise it to a raging, roaring pitch, Abraham endeavouring to extinguish it. Democrateans are enkindling the atomic fire, though with no evil intention, or ill-will to mankind, and rather doing it as a service to mankind in their own way. The Abrahamites will put up their endeavour to extinguish this fire with a determination to go to any extreme that would be necessary to achieve that end, even to the complete eradication of the Baconian Progress, Baconian Culture and all The contest has begun Democritus with his group is long in the field enkindling the atomic pyre. Bacon, Spinoza, Darwin and Einstein can be discerned with Democritus. Abraham too has taken up the field for this royal battle Moses, Mohammed and Jesus (Peace Be Upon Them) may be discerned with Abraham ready to give a battle to the Baconian Demon that has possessed the entire mankind in a most bewitching, most seductive manner. This demon will be defeated and killed. Its Atomic Hell will disappear of itself and this world will be redeemed from its clutches and entered into an age of real peace and real prosperity.

The Abraham Democritus Conflict has been there since the appearance of the Baconian devil in this world. Because this demon made its appearance in the Christian world, it was the Christian world that directly opposed it, but unfortunately failed against its formidable powers of seduction, and certain genuine grievances of Christendom against their religion and their Priests. In the Islamic World the conflict can be seen long before this demon made its appearance in the Islamic World. Sheikh Sarhandi was the contemporary of Bacon and was engaged in correcting Akberian Heresy. Shah Walliullah Muhadith of Dehli was the first to perceive the approaching shadows of this demon at the time when the English were gaining the possession of India, and bringing with them the Baconian Progress. He as a young man had left for Mecca and Medina. There he had spiritual allusions and accordingly he returned to India and there set himself to the work of reformation among the Muslim Community. His most creditable feat has been his translation of the Quran in Persian language first time in History. His tow sons in turn translated the Quran in Urdu language. And it is to the presence of these Urdu translations that most of the knowledge of the Quran among the educated Muslim classes in Indian Sub-continent may be attributed in the period of foreign domination when the knowledge of the Quran would have been lost in the oblivion of modern knowledge. To these Urdu translation could be attributed all the subsequent development of Muslin India. Then came. Hali who mourned the decline and fall of the Muslim Community. The Iqbal who expostulated with God for the deplorable condition of the Muslims and did indeed revive the Islamic spirits among the Muslims in a most effective manner, exposing the noxious realities the Western Culture, and illustrating the truths of Islam. Few have understood the true reality of this Western Culture and the real nature of Islam more than Iqbal in this age. The light he has given of Islam is an asset invaluable. And now, I the humble slave of Allah and the meager servant of the Quran have in hand Quran's treatment of this Baconian age, a light and guidance of the Quran to avoid the atomic pit. The only light and the only guidance and the only hope of this world. After the dirge of Hali and the remonstrance of Iqbal, now this dire yell along with the brilliant dazzle of the Quran to expel the Baconian darkness from this world, and save this creation of Allah from the frightful doom in the flames of the Atomic Hell, Muslims and Non-Muslims alike.

That the course of the atomic energy has been regularly covered by the divine scheme of Abrahamic contest may be proved from the following example. It was in the year of 1905 that Iqbal was sent to West. And it was in that same year that Einstein had by his famous equation E=MC2 , the theory of Mass Energy equivalence cleared the course of atomic energy from the difficult eddy in which it was then entangled. Had Iqbal not gone to the west, the great probability is that he would have died either as merely a great national poet of India, or as merely a great national poet of Muslims. It was during his visit of Europe that his eye was opened to the great Abrahamic Mission which changed his entire outlook, necessarily for the ultimate extinction of Einstenian Hell, and he thereafter chanted:-

“There is fire.

There are the Children of Abraham, and there is Nemrud.

Is again the trial of someone by someone intended"?

And:-

"This age is in quest of its Abraham.

The world is but a temple of idols.

There is no God but God.

Although idols are in the sleeves of the congregation.

I am commanded to cry the call for prayers,

There is no God but God".

He continues in the same poem the most direct condemnation of this Baconian progress that exclusively is the business of this material age that acquires wealth and the things of this world. Iqbal Says:-

“You are doing the trade of deceit which is the deceit of profit and loss. There is no God but God. This wealth, these relations and these attachments are but the idols of conceit and illusion. There is no God but God. This chant is not dependent on the season of flowers. Whether spring or autumn, there is no God but God".

Read this poem to the end as the manifesto of Abrahamic Mission. Mark the vivid Abrahamic Spirit in the entire poem. He, who would like to understand Iqbal, let him see Iqbal through Abrahamic spectacles.

1942 in another year in the history of atomic energy that has its own unique significance. It was in this year that the first successful realization of Fission Chain Reaction was achieved by Enrico Fermi, the Italian Physicist in Chicago, the experiment opened the gate of atomic energy and atomic bombs and the subsequent atomic devastation of the world. It was in that very year that I was assigned this Abrahamic Mission in a vision in Mussayyib near Baghdad without my knowledge then of either Fermi or Einstein. It was my 25th year and I then could read the Quran without knowing its meanings. My education was then quite meagre. And it is by the grace of Almighty Allah if I have achieved that which was well-nigh impossible in the field of knowledge in given circumstances. And Allah be praised, for I entertain no claims. Nor I deserve any credit in this respect. For decades, however, I have burned in the heat of atomic hell. If, my work saves this mankind from the flames of atomic hell, my pains are well rewarded even if I am long dead and gone. May my Allah save this world from atomic jehannah. Amen.

This world shall see the truth of my mission. This world shall see the seeming impossibilities rendered possible and achieved. This world will know that the God of this world as yet lives, and that he is most potent and is most merciful, this Baconian seduction will prove transient and will vanish. The Quran rescues the mankind from the atomic hell by a miracle

No alternative for this mankind is now left, if it continued on its present path, but, either to meet death and destruction under the hails of atomic bombs, or to perish in a slow, lingering, miserable manner through the radiations of the atomic-energy-for-peace. The optimism at present prevalent in the world regarding the atomic energy is the optimism only of the doomed. The road of atomic energy now adopted by the nations of the world in a spirit of rivalry leads only to the atomic hell. Those blinded only by the hypnotic effect of the greed for wealth can miss the remark. Yet the entire world is on the move indeed blindly racing toward the utopia which in fact is the hell. God, the creator of this world, seems to have taken mercy on His creation that a miracle in the Quran has appeared that gives guidance to this mankind to avoid the grievous doom of atomic annihilation. It is a miracle which none in the world will deny. It breaks through the strongest walls of skepticism. Let someone in the world tray not to believe it and let the denial be advertised in the papers, radio, and television. This is a crushing miracle which no one can deny with reason.

That the Quran fourteen hundred years ago in an age of no science and no atomism, should treat the modern atomism, to its logical end the atomic hell that is the atomic energy, the atomic bomb and the atomic radiations, characterizing Baconian design of modern atomism, giving all its basic, essential and distinctive characteristics precisely and exactly, and linking these characteristics in a preprocess to the appearance of the atomic hell: that is the atomic energy, the atomic bombs and the atomic radiations, as the logical and the scientific result of the Baconian atomism, characterizing the atomic that is nuclear phenomenon giving its basic characteristics such as distinguish the nuclear from every other type of phenomena, chemical, electrical and gravitational, involving therein Muller’s theory of radiogenic effects, the most basically important theory of radiobiology and portraying the phenomenon of atomic bomb explosion by its symbolically distinctive feature that of the outstretched column, and surprisingly enough calling the atomic phenomenon by a functionally and phonetically synonymous name that of the atomic phenomenon, is a detail that leaves no reason for the philosopher of atomism, or the nuclear scientist to effect t denial of the miraculous aspect of the matter on reason.

Now which of the philosophers of atomism could have believed that in the 7th century A.D. at the time of the revelation of the Quran, when not a vestige of ancient atomism existed, and when no human intelligence could have been expected to dream even of any possibility of any revival of atomism in any future age anywhere, not to speak of the predictive characterization of the particular characteristics of 17th century Baconian atomism, a booking 7th century A.D. would have been in a position to predict the characteristics of Baconian atomism, except indeed by the intelligence of All-knowing God. And which of the nuclear scientists in the world could believe that a scripture fourteen centuries ago in an age in which no one could have dreamed even of the modern science could have characterized the nuclear phenomenon with such alacrity and clarity as if it peeped into the heart of atom in the atomic reactor and the atomic bomb. Hearing all that has been said in the previous passage in this respect, which Russell that would not have stood aghast with wonder and which Einstein that would not be lost in a reverie. Indeed greater the knowledge, greater the appreciation and greater the wonder. But a fact which a stands beyond the ken both of the philosopher and the scientist, the link established by the Quran between the atomism and the atomic bombs, that is the mention of the appearance of atomic energy and the atomic bomb in the course of the process as the logical and scientific thereof. No philosopher and no scientist will ever be able to understand this knack of the scripture, how it was done, and how it could have been done will for ever remain a mystery to human intelligence. Indeed no Socrates, no Aristotle could have been expected to dream even of such a thing. Plato and Aristotle both have been opposed to the ancient Greek atomism of Democritus, but none of them cold have seen to such long stances and with such minute accuracy, so as to see the appearance of atomic bomb. This is the work of the Omniscient intelligence of the all-knowing, all seeing God.

The cup of your curiosity and patience by now appears to be full to the brim. Where is such a thing in the Quran you will cry? But before I come to that point. Let me tell you, firstly that the Quran has in the chapter concerned condemned outright the Baconian atomistic materialism. It has condemned the atomic bombs. It has condemned the dam of the atomic bomb that is the atomic energy. Secondly, my conceit of the chapter of the Quran that contains this miracle and consists of no more than thirty six words, is that it proves beyond any doubt the divine origin of the Quran and provides the most irrefutable argument in this respect bringing glory to the scriptures in general. And that no one in this world today appears to have understood the true nature of this age, its troubles and the causes thereof or the remedy, and none will understand unless he has studied this particular chapter of the Quran. And that no movement in this world whatsoever to avert the atomic threat from mankind, and no efforts for the revival of faith in general or Christianity or Islam could either be rightly guided or properly directed, or could be crowned with any considerable success without the understanding given by this chapter and without adopting the guidelines shown therein.

Now know that all that which I have said about this miracle of the Quran is contained in a chapter of the Quran rightly to be called as the chapter of this age, and has remained a dormant mystery ever since till by the grace of Almighty Allah it was discovered to me, and is still a mystery to the entire world except a few men who have this knowledge from me. And I do not talk all this at haphazard. Twelve hundred pages in English language, the interpretation of this chapter of the Quran are ready with me in the form of manuscript to explain to this world the mysteries of the miracle that I justly call the miracles of miracles. I have called this interpretation by the name of atomic hell series and contains two volumes as follows.

Volume-I. Quran predicts, describes, characterizes and averts the atomic hell from mankind. English.

Volume-II. Quran quells the atomism and redeems the mankind from the atomic hell. English.

There are other eight unpublished volumes on various basic topics but at present it is these two volumes above named that hold my attention. For if this world is destroyed what will be the use any other thing. My necessity at present is the publication of this work which I believe in the only hope of this world now facing the atomic conflagration any moment. It is the top scientists and the philosophers in the advanced countries in the world whom I want to meet to explain to them the gist of my writings, and try to show them the real picture of the things. In 1974 I received a very good review on the first volume then the only volume by an employ of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, and in the same year and on the same volume I received another review from the research Bureau of Pakistan’s If Information Ministry which recommended the publication of the Gist of the work and the distribution thereof throughout the world through Pakistani Embassies abroad. But a lot of books on atomic physics lately published in America and unavailable in Pakistan came to my hand and then during the five years to 1979 I rewrote the volume to its perfection and augmented it with yet another volume of 600 pages on philosophy to bring the work to its completion. CHRISTIANITY, QURAN AND THE PHILOSOPHY OF ATOMISM

By the fifth century A.D. the period of struggle among numerous competitors ended in complete victory of Christianity. Atomism consequently disappeared along with the Epicureanism. Christianity had by that time become the state religion of Roman Empire. Every candle except that of Christianity had by then been extinguished. The whole Empire including the Emperor had embraced Christian Religion.

Quran prophesied about the Atom bomb in so called dark age of the West

C.500 to 1000 is a period known as Dark Ages of Europe. The dark ages of the West were called the dark ages, not because the spirit of Christianity was found on the wane or that the sense of the Christian doctrine of the hatred of material world was suspected to on decline, but because the intellectual activity during that period regarding the acquirement of knowledge and learning had been missing. Any inclinations towards atomism were yet out of question. Rather the absence of intellectual activities had hardened the attitude of Christianity against atomism or any such creed which in their eyes was inclined towards the material world. And even if the Christian community had felt the desire of the world inwardly, there was no reason to suspect them of any inclinations towards atomism in its outward appearance because the religious sense of Christians was then at least so strong as to expel any thought of a system associated with atheism, such as Atomism was. At that time, no one could even dream that anything like atomism could ever find its revival in this world. By fourth century A.D. Christianity had become the state religion of the Roman Empire. By fifth century every trace of opposition from any other school of thought had completely vanished. In seventh century when the darkness of the dark age of the West was on its increase, the Quran, in the first decade of that dark century, produced the prophecy about atomic bomb in a country which had to its credit nothing but ages of darkness as long as the memory of historian could take his thought back into its history. A prophecy which was to remain dormant for more than thirteen centuries awaiting its fulfillment. A prophecy at which no human intelligence could venture with utmost surety even a day before the first December 1942, the day before Fermi, the Italian scientist achieved the first successful Fission Chain Reaction in Chicago. It took more than two years after this achievement to build a workable atom bomb; and only about three years before the successful Chain Reaction, Einstein in his letter to President Roosevelt could not assume a tone of certainty, he only had assumed the possibility of the construction of bombs far more powerful than conventional bombs, by utilizing the phenomenon of Uranium Fission.

Atomism Revived

It was in 4th Century B.C, that Aristotle had thrown the weight of his authority against the atomic theory, and when Galen the celebrated physician of the second century A.D. added his veto to that of Aristotle, atoms suffered an eclipse that was to last for some fourteen centuries. The eclipse was however cleared at last. The Philosophies of Plato and Aristotle, which had employed the faculties of the ablest of men and which held the throne for centuries together were at last destined to fall. These philosophies had worn many shapes. They had mingled themselves with many creeds. They had survived revolutions in which empires, religions, languages, and races, had perished, but were fated at least to leave before the new philosophy, the philosophy of fruit, utility, and progress. Aristotle was deposed, Plato was confined, and the caravan of the west, led by Bacon, " Buccinator Novi Temporis" (the trumpeter of the modern age), raising the flag of Science and Chanting DE' RERUM NATURA, moved on to the conquest of the realm of nature for the good of mankind in general, with Atomism acting as their guide and interpreter all along.

The knowledge of the atomic theory after its long disappearance was derived from a relic, the poem of Lucretus (Ist Century B.C.) in which the earlier views of the atomists were logically marshalled and brilliantly exposed. It was in the light of the information derived from a relevant pieces of this poem (DE RERUM NATURA) that Pierre Gassandi (1592-1655) the provencal philosopher and a Roman Catholic Priest, introduced the views of Greek Atomists. The unbearable austerity which the Christian church had imposed on its followers, (which exempting the ecclesiastical leaders who lived like prince) and an equally unbearable urge for the enjoyment of the feast which nature had spread before them, and besides this perhaps a misunderstood example of Islam, had prepared the Christian world for the acceptance of Atomism. The tyrannical church applied the whip, while able men like Bacon took the lead, and atomism came into the view. Gradually and systematically it gained the field completely.

Bacon's attempt in balancing atomism and spiritualism not successful eventually.

Bacon's design was, by means of inquiries, some of which should be experimental like those of Al-Chemists, but purged from all superstitious taint and directed not towards immediate gain, but towards a thorough-going knowledge, vastly to increase in the long run the dominion of man over nature. To enjoy such a dominion was, he held, the original destiny of our race. But Bacon's discretion was ignored and unfortunate men soon inclined towards immediate gains, and so the higher ideal of Bacon was completely discarded. Nor was Bacon's attempt in adding the practical side of Natural Philosophy to the spiritual philosophy of Christianity successful. For, men left off the spiritual side completely and adopted the material side. Macaulay has highly extolled Bacon's bringing into view the practical side that is the material and fruitful side of the natural philosophy as against the barren philosophy of Ancient Greek Masters, but unfortunately the desired effects have not been achieved, due to men's forsaking the spiritual and oral side of the affair and inclining to the material side only. And thus everything spiritual and moral having vanished, the field remained exclusively for atomism, dangerously unbalanced.

Dalton's researches in the field of Atomism

Newton and Boyle both believed that matter was atomic but the atomic theory was not systematically adopted in Chemistry until it was taken up by John Dalton (1766-1844) - Dalton's modernization of the long neglected atomic theory, marked the end of the previous epoch which had begun with Copernicus, three centuries ago. Dalton's Chief Contentions are as follows:-

(i) Matter consists of Atoms, which cannot be created or destroyed. Chemical change consists in the combination of atoms which were previously apart, or the separation of those which were combined. There is no change in the atoms themselves.

(ii) The atoms of a given element are all exactly alike; and they differ, practically in weight, from those of any other elements. It has been necessary to extend and modify his original Hypotheses; but in modern dress they still play a vital part in chemical theory.

The theory of atomism falls on its path to atom bomb unexpectedly

The atomic theory fell on the path of atom bomb with almost accidental discovery of X-rays in 1895 by the German physicist Roentgen. This initiated a period of unprecedented progress in physical science. In seeking a possible connection between phosphorescence and x-rays, the French Physicist Becquerel chose by a mere chance, Uranium Nitrate as the substance for investigation and was led unexpectedly in 1896; to the discovery of Radio-activity. This in its turn soon led to the discovery of Radium by Pierre and Mme Curie. In 1905, Einstein enunciated the theory of special relativity and as a consequence from it established the equivalence between mass and energy. The great work of Rutherford on radiations (named by him as alpha, beta, and Gamma Rays) emitted from Radio-active bodies eventually led to the concept of atom as made up of a central core, the nucle

The line of argument of the modern science guided skeptics due to their relatively greater knowledge of the universe is different from their ancient counterpart. For, whereas the ancient sceptic was generally lead to doubt and disbelief due to ignorance, the doubts of the modern scientist regarding religion are paradoxically the creation of their own knowledge Quran’s genius therefore shines supreme to amount to a miracle, since we see, that the Quran surprisingly enough if on the one hand it has for generations in the past furnished the doubting mind of an ignorant skeptic with sufficiently convincing reason, it could on the other hand successfully clear the doubts of the modern knowledgeable scientist and in both the instances bringing into play the same words and the same verses. Such indeed is the versatile comprehensiveness of its marvelous composition, such unfathomable adoptability of its fluent, crystal clear expression, such unsurpassable sublimity of its exceedingly superb diction with such supernaturally unlimited resourcefulness of every word and verse in an amazingly surreptitious, esoterically occult manner, Quran seems no doubt the work of an omniscient, and all pervading author, who fully anticipated the future trends of the mind of humanity, even sometimes would repeat exact words, expressions and the true purport of a passage by a distant author in a different language, and displaying always the particular mood catachrestic of foreknowledge. Quran has its own complete, perfected philosophy and a most agreeable code of human life. When it differs it does it so with the vehemence, clarity, and reassurance of a divine oracle.

This we intend to show in an example out of innumerable examples. We have selected the first twelve pages of the famous book “Mysterious Universe” and a part of the last chapter of the same work, in which the celebrated author Sir James jeans has admirably summarized the philosophical thought of the modern scientist. The two philosophies shall therein be found in the contesting arena in their true perspective and at their best.

The point of difference and the contrasting features shall no longer remain obscure. Scientist through his knowledge has tended toward, fear, misapprehension, disbelief, dismay, confusion, perplexity, perversion, depravity, distress and lack of confidence. He fails to find the purpose of creation and the creation of man therein, has puzzled him to the extremes. His hopes of ultimately finding the truth lay unfortunately in the scientific knowledge of a degree much beyond the human reach at best at present. He has used all his knowledge to prove disbelief and his future expectations in the discoveries tend to further strengthening disbelief. He desires to usurp the sovereignty of God through man’s conquest of the realm of nature, whereas Quran reiterates the right for God through his absolute command in the preset world and his unshared sovereignty on the day of judgement, the judgement of the just and merciful God, the hope of his creatures. One wonders how if on the one hand the modern scientist is splitting the invisible atom and is endeavouring to reach the moon and the mars, on the other hand his sight in the matters of human philosophy is so weak and his understanding so blind, that he call this creation on earth a chance creation, to lack proportion, a by-product and something out of the way. That he should blink his eyes at the possible purpose of the creation and the purpose of man’s existence on earth. That he should completely ignore the possibility of a life after death, and all that he should do surprisingly on the dint of his knowledge of this material universe. The modern philosophy therefore as we shall see is the complete antithesis of that of the Quran in this respect. It is their misfortune, to end in atomic conflagration. And inglorious and indeed for mankind. It now is the moral duty incumbent upon the Muslims to learn and then to teach humanity the precise outlook of the Quran in religious, moral and spiritual values. That perhaps mankind may still live, and that perhaps this dreadful danger of atomic ruin be averted. And if the humanity were destined to meet their end through atomic disaster, let at least the survivals be furnished with a light and a look which could guarantee peace and prosperity in this world and the unmixed bliss in the life to come. The Quran indeed as you shall with your own eyes see, has contained sufficient proofs of the fact that as if it knew that such and such author shall in such and such age present to the mankind such and such works to contain such and such words, so that Quran occasionally repeats some of the words. They attribute everything to the laws of nature, Quran attribute everything to God the creator, as separate from nature and the absolute master of everything and always the signs which increase the faith of a believer and more perplexity to the scientist.

Scientist:-

“ A few stars are known which are hardly bigger than the earth, but the majority are so large that hundreds of thousands of earths could be packed inside each and leave room to spare; here and thee we come upon against star large enough to contain millions of millions of earths”.

(Page 1 para 1- The Mysterious Universe ).

Comments:-

The scientist by the comparative smallness of the earth as against the universe intends to disparage the earth and minimize its significance in order to prove the life upon earth a mere by product and somehow out of the way. The Quran therefore says:-

“With Him is everything (regulated), according to (determined measure). (He) knoweth that which is hidden and that which is revealed. (He is) the GREAT, the Most HIGH”.

Scientist:-

“And the total number of stars in the universe is probably something like the total, number of grains of sand on all these ashore of the world”.

Comments:-

The scientist is tending towards his ultimate ignorance of the purpose of creation by belittling the earth and the life upon it. Hence says the Quran: God is more considerable and his words:.

“Say, if the seas were ink, to write the words of my Lord, verily these would fail, although we added (another sea) like unto it as a further supply”.

(XVIII Al-Kahf (12) (109)

Scientist:-

“Such is the littleness of our home in space, when measured up against the total substance of the universe”.

MY REQUEST TO WORLD SCIENTISTS AND FORMULA OF QURAN TO NEUTRALIZE THE AOTMIC WEAPONS AND MAN’S DESTINY

To the following, I had dispatched an article (subject) for attestation of scientists on the subject of neutralization of the atomic weapons, from Quran’s decision and scientists about atomic hell, on 5th May 1980, by registered post.

Personally, I was, and still am, dead certain about the scientific correctness of the facts of the characterization in question, and I sought the attestation of the celebrities in view of the general ignorance of the mankind about the subject of atomic science, and I approached the authoritative among the atomists merely because the second graders would not assume courage to give attestation despite their knowledge of the truth of the facts judging from the extreme formidability of the basic theme. I had sent the letters in real good faith, but the result of my enterprise was as follows:-

1. The Guardian sent me the article back with the remarks, "The editor thanks you for letting him see your contribution, but regrets that he is unable to make use of it".

2. From Dr. R. S. Pease, the Director of Calhan Lab. (United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority), I received a letter dated 13th May 1980, containing one sentence of acknowledgment, namely, "Thank you for your note about atomic energy".

3. On 20th August I received a letter from Statens Karnkraft Inspektion Swedish Nuclear Power Inspectorate, signed by Bennart Gillham and dated 19-6-1980. It contains, "This short letter I write to you only to tell you, we have received your article, a design of the neutralizer of the atomic bomb and radiation".

4. From Shirley Petty, Secretary to Dr. Edward Teller (the famous inventor of the Hydrogen Bomb) I received the following letter dated July 29, 1980. The letter I received on 5th August 1980. It read:-

"Please accept my apologies for the long delay in acknowledging receipt of your letter dated 3rd May to Doctor Teller. Teller has been on extended travel these last few months and he will be traveling most of this year also. In view of this, I am returning your letter in case you may want to forward it, to someone else".

The rest of the venerable addressees assumed reticence. It is difficult to know the impression made by my article on their mind, but one thing of which I am dead certain is their notion of the impossibility of neutralizing the atomic bomb physically. Judging from the subject of atomic science the impossibility of the idea appears quite correct. Yet the design of the neutralizer of the atomic bomb certainly I have to present to the world, and it is a very scientific one. But it is not I; the Quran it is that has presented the basic theory. And allow me to say, that it is the only possible method and the only feasible design to rid this world of the threat of atomic bombs and atomic radiations. If this world is destined to be saved from the atomic ruin it is through this very design of the neutralizer of the atomic bomb certainly which I am now presenting to this mankind.

You have read the names of the nuclear scientists in the list of my addressees that constitutes the cream of the nuclear world of today. Then mark the meager response which my article has received. The world I believe is most prone to attribute the apparent indifference on the part of these eminent scientists naturally to the worthlessness of the article, whereas the disregard of these scientists themselves might have been due to the improbability of the promise of the neutralization of the atomic phenomenon. No doubt it is extremely hard for a nuclear scientist to entertain a possibility of designing a neutralizer of the atomic bomb or the atomic radiations. And why the world in general should regard the worthlessness of my article as the cause of the indifference of the scientists? The reason is the high image of the scientist against my total obscurity. Nay, the general world is prone to retain their view even after the article in question has been published to the world. The reason is that the world in general is, not excluding, the non-scientist scholars, professors, philosophers, theologians and the elite, utterly and completely unconversant with the subject of nuclear science. Even among the nuclear scientists there are not many that could lay a claim to perfection in their subject, or may be looked upon as an authority in their field, though the nuclear science despite its proverbial difficulty, complexity and intricacy is in its preliminary stages. Whoever, however, will happen to read the article in question will not miss the point that absurdity, puerility or superficiality could not have been the reason of the neglect or indifference as shown by the noteworthy addressees, in this case. The knowledgeable atomists will generously admit that no characterization of the atomic phenomenon has hitherto appeared as brief yet as comprehensive, so realistic and at the same time so novel, so simple yet so deeply penetrating so amusing and nonetheless so thought-provoking. It is a miracle undeniable by even the science itself. And there it is that I find a reason to lament the absence of Einstein as my personal loss. He could have appreciated my treatment of the subject and seen my line unless this mankind was destined to be broiled in the atomic hell.

I entertain my deepest sympathy for the scientist in this respect. I realize that it is hard for a nuclear scientist to believe in any possibility of the appearance of a design of any kind of a neutralizer of the atomic phenomenon, and it is quite natural on their part to look with doubt and suspicion on any suggestion or claim of this kind. Yet I expected them at least to discern between pure fiction, or factious absurdity and remarkably scientific treatment of their subject, and I expected at least a receipt of the article and a review of the article in favour or against. If they considered that I did only bluff. Then bluff I did not.

Following is the formula of the design of the neutralizer of the atomic bombs, and atomic radiations:-

The explanation of this formula will appear in the Fifth chapter by the name of "The Neutralizing Formula of the Quran".

Now if this formula ultimately emerged as not exactly what they had fancied, or the kind of a formula that they had expected, then let it be known that no other is possible, and it is the only possible method of escaping the world-consuming flames of atomic fire and the life-destroying radiations. It reminds me of the Leibnizian expression, "The best of all the possible worlds", this expression as is known was held up to very exquisite ridicule by the great French wit Voltaire in his Romance called "Candide" (1757). No occasion, however, now in the presence of the atomic threat is there for ridicule. The occasion only is for the mourning. Humanity now stands face to face with atomic ruin that did quench the Voltarian wit. But whether it was my misfortune or the misfortune of mankind, or whether it was some particular divine strategy that no sooner, than I despatched this letter to the scientists and my work was complete, I fell sick which I still am. May God grant me health that I may be able to convey the message to mankind. Next read the characterization of atomic phenomenon in the words of the Quran.

"Otama! And what could teach thee what Al-Otama is? It is fire of Allah enkindled which leaps up onto the hearts. It is (a fire) closed in on them in outstretched columns". (Quran - Al-Homaza -104)

The "O" of Otama is stressed by "H" in the Quran. We will discuss now point by point:-

The Quran says, "Otama". Otama is a pure Arabic word derived from the root-verb Atama or Hatama, which means "to break something into pieces" or "to shatter" it. "Otama" or "Hatama" is a descriptive noun and means "a breaker" or crusher. That the Quran should call a fire by the name of breaker could at once call to the mind of the scientist the German term 'BREMSSTRA-HLUNG' which literally meant "breaking radiation" and

The decision of science against the adoption of atomic energy-for-peace is something which should come

as a surprise just as surprising as the fact that the Quran should, predict, describe, and warn against the atomic hell with a view to averting the atomic danger from mankind. Equally surprising will be the declaration that this age was the most ignorant inspite of its proverbially great knowledge. This age indeed may be deemed as ignorant, due to its ignorance of the subject on which were now staked the peace as well as the existence not only of mankind but also of all life on earth. We allude to the subject of nuclear science. Not only that all the knowledge available concerning the subject of nuclear science is too elementary and scanty as yet, the knowledge of that scanty portion too is a rarity. The masses all over the world are utterly ignorant of it. The Non-Scientist Scholars all over the world fare little better. Among the scientist community, the nuclear scientist it is that may be expected to know of this subject, but unfortunately, few among the nuclear scientists are to be found in the world who really know the subject which in itself is proverbially minute, proverbially complex, and one that appears to be functioning in regions beyond human ken and defying with relentless insurgency the efforts of man in affecting perfect control and command. We will try to show the situation in the court of science. There we will see the extent of the present-day knowledge of man about the subject, and there we will see how far the decision of recommending the atomic-energy-for-peace at present in the present situation is hasty, premature and disastrous. This might be an eye-opener. The case is conducted in the court of Lord Justice Science:-

The spirit of sagacity has filed the suit against the nuclear scientist in the court of the Lord Justice Science and has engaged an advocate. It is an historic case. The galleries of the court are full to the brim, and, beam with the reverenced, serious and sagacious faces of the scientists of every era of human history, and philosophers from early Greek to the most modern of this age. All occupying their seats according to the order of the era of history and the subject. Faces like Einstein, Chadwick, Rutherford, Fermi, Madame Curie, Muller, Oppenheimer, Teller, and many others of the modern atomists and radiobiologists can be recognized. Philosophers like Socrates, Aristotle, Plato, among hundreds of others of prime note may also be seen in the company. Yet the two faces that appear most conspicuous among this gathering of the notables are of Bacon and Democritus. Darwin sits with a peculiar air of his own. The worried face of Bertrand Russell too could be discerned in a corner. On the whole an air of seriousness, anxiety, and greatness prevails throughout the galleries. In another apartment may be seen the newspapermen to report the sensational proceedings of the case to the impatient, distressed world around.

The Lord Justice Science has taken his seat and the proceedings of the court begin. The Prosecutor-General rises to read the accusations. He is heard to read the following :-

Nuclear Scientists :You are hereby accused in this Augustus Court of the Lord Justice of Science, of recommending the use of the atomic-energy-for-peace, Without first having full control over so exceptionally dangerous a force, and without first providing the means of protection against the deadly radiations to the millions residing in the neighbourhood of the reactors despite the fact that the reactors may explode any moment inundating the neighbouring districts with the floods of pernicious radiations leaving the unfortunate populations on the mercy of the elements, and without first discovering any sure cure for radiation sickness, or discovering any means of detecting or destroying the genes mutated by radiation, thus throwing the future generations of humanity into grievous jeopardy, and indeed without first obtaining sufficient knowledge of the subject in question, nay even being content with the most meagre knowledge and being overhasty in recommending the use of atomic energy, a force most insurgent and most unusually dangerous to the health, life and well-being of mankind, animal species, and plants all over the world, this honourable court takes the most serious view of your gross violation of the general rules of the methodology of science inspite of your professed allegiance to our Lord the Science. You are charged with the murder of mankind, as the originator and the author of the untold miseries and afflictions and sufferings and the total annihilation of life on earth arising from the long-term effects of atomic radiations, the product of atomic energy, the energy which you now recommend despite your knowledge of the serious hazards incident thereon. The seriousness of the charges is clear. Do you plead guilty to the charges?

The reply of the nuclear Scientist to the charges is as follows:-

“ The truth of the hazards incident upon the adoption of atomic energy could not be denied in the light of the experimental knowledge obtained by the best of authorities. But the adoption of atomic energy we recommend, firstly because of the inevitable necessity of energy; secondly, because we believe that some discoveries might be made during the utility-cum-experiment process that might solve the problem of the hazards of atomic energy. If the accusation be truthful then it is not we, the nuclear scientists that are to be blamed alone, but there is the politician, there is the industrialist and there is the mankind in general to share the blame with the nuclear scientist who is nothing but an instrument in the hands of this present age. Murderers of mankind are the originators of the sufferings of the future generations, we are not, rather we may justly think ourselves as the benefactors of the mankind, and there is the proof in this very world so clear that you cannot miss the mark of material bliss on any thing or any place that you may see yourself the world over. I therefore with a clear conscience plead not guilty to the charges that are laid against me as the nuclear scientist.’’

Here the Lady Nemesis rises to her feet, and addressing the nuclear scientist cries at the top of her voice:-

“ You may deny the charges now , but if the facts of science are true, and they certainly are true, then a day will come in this very world that these your organs will themselves be witnesses against you. Your cancer-ridden body and hands and feet, and your skin, your eyes and your eyebrows shall bespeak the truth of the charges laid against you in this court of true justice.”

In response to outburst of the lady Nemesis, the nuclear scientist says nothing, only eyes her piteously. The Lord Justice Science then orders the council of the plaintiff to proceed with cross examination. The Advocate then rises and begins his questions and the nuclear scientist gives his answers. The cross examination of the nuclear scientist by the Advocate:-

ADV: Do you recommend the use of the atomic energy-for-peace in the present situation of the nuclear science as it is, that is without any protection to the masses against radiation inspire of the possibility of the leakage and the explosion of the reactors, and without any sure cure for radiation sickness, and without any understanding of the subject for discovering any cure.

NUCLEAR SCIENTIST: Yes! Of course I do. And I do not only recommend the use of atomic-energy-for-peace, but also I offer my hearty co-operation in the enterprise.

ADV: Why so and wherefore?

N/S: Because the need for the energy is imminent. The means and sources of energy are dwindling and the danger is that if no alternative means of energy are

LIFE OF BACON

Foreword:

Of Jesus was a light as shining as of the truth. It appeared and it dazzled and it left a dazzling reflection in the eye of mankind to the day of judgement. Jesus was the harbinger of pure spiritualism, and was a destroyer of materialism. Bacon in seventeenth century arose as the champion of materialism and as an antithesis to Jesus Christ. Of all the false prophets who simulated Jesus, Bacon has been one most successful. His philosophy gained universal acceptance, and was very deceptive. It promised a paradise on earth, and after a few glimpses of bliss, it has turned this earth into a hell, and is now ready to be consumed by the atomic hell, the logical consequence of Bacon’s philosophy of modern atomism.

We have hitherto discussed the philosophy of Bacon in its completeness in previous volumes, and will now treat the mind which produced it. We will treat the tree which produced such a fruit. Various lives of Bacon have appeared, but some of these may be regarded as penegyrical compositions bestowed on a redeemer by the grateful devotees, while others have presented the life of the Hero in true colours, but have regarded his philosophy as a real redeemer of mankind and the best of all the philosophies that ever appeared on earth. The reason of this is only that at the time at which these assessments of Bacon’s philosophy were made, the progress of science showed only the benefits and no problems. Indeed it could have been regarded in those times as a bliss unmixed. And now the modern science and progress, the fruits of Bacon’s philosophy are there in their final perspective and true realities. It is high time now therefore to discuss Bacon’s philosophy and reassess it in its present light. And let it be for ever remembered that, Bacon being an instrument of Anti-Christic spirit, and responsible for the most destructive of all the previous anti- religious revolutions in all previous human history, the truth both about his life and his philosophy has to be completely and clearly told in the interest of humanity which with its soul destroyed now stands on the verge of a most painful and most disgraceful end of its bodily existence, as a result of this very philosophy of Bacon. Humanity must now be warned without any reservations, not indeed with any intent of blackening any one’s memory but with the sole purpose of finding a relation between the philosophy and the mind which produced it, indeed, in reference to the circumstances, then prevalent.

It is essential to know the mind that has produced a philosophy which has withstood and overcome every other philosophy, has gained complete sway over the entire world, has thrown every religion into the background, and leading the world through the promised bliss of earthly paradise for centuries together, partially full-filling the promise in its course, has eventually brought this world to the verge of universal destruction both of mind and of body. I will base my work mainly on Macaulay’s essay on Lord Bacon. He has treated the conduct of Bacon with impartiality and has done every thing with admirable ability. The article of Macaulay is no doubt a masterpiece, in itself, though I stand in radical opposition to his view of Bacon’s philosophy. And yet inspite of my difference with Macaulay on the subject, it is impossible not to admire Macaulay’s great talent. He simply appears as bewitching. Macaulay likes the philosophy of Bacon because it multiplied human enjoyments, and it mitigated human sufferings. Macaulay praised Baconian philosophy under the inebriating influence of these two objects, and he was not in the wrong. Indeed at that time the world went in the first sweet swings of the achievements of Bacon’s philosophy, with the hectic background of the premodern west still fresh in memory, and no modern problems hand as yet appeared. We today stand on a different pedestal and see the things from a different frame of reference. The order of the things is reversed from what it was in Macaulay’s time. The Baconian philosophy now has begun to mitigate human enjoyments and multiply human sufferings, and that perhaps could have been tolerated. But apart-from that the Baconian philosophy now clearly threatens the existence of humanity through the flames of atomic hell. How dearly it is wished that Macaulay were himself alive today to see with his own eyes the error of his opinion about the philosophy of Baconian Atomism. And yet it appears doubtful whether Macaulay, if living today could have judged this philosophy aright, for we can see a world of the greater intellects blinking before it and lavishing the greatest praises on it, and ignoring all the various hazards that are incident on it. Indeed besides the blindness of the people of this age, their helplessness is proverbial.

Bacon of all the philosophers from the beginning to the end enjoys a distinctive position in that, he did to the sons of Adam exactly that which the devil had done to Adam himself. Satan seduced Adam. Bacon seduced the sons of Adam, and the design of seduction is identical in both the cases. We will discuss this very interesting and indeed very alarming topic at length. Today the fast changing, and deteriorating situation of this Baconian world reveals, that this Baconian culture is not now very far from the point of explosion. And a very miserable end it does portend. Another distinction which Bacon enjoys in this world is that whereas even the greatest of the prophets have claimed the allegiance of but a part of this world, Bacon's philosophy pervades the entire world from one end to the other.

We will in this Bacon’s life history try to reveal the mental and moral affinity that existed between Bacon’s life and his philosophy. And we will discern the hand of providence at play therein. Bacon’s philosophy may be regarded as the voice of the age and the cry of the times. The Western world stood then on the fence gazing with wonder and peeping with anxiety into the material world, pining after the sweet smells and inviting odours of the feast of nature. Bacon just gave them the signal. The theory (Atomism) which had failed in ancient world because of the want of congenial atmosphere succeeded in modern age because of the field well-prepared, in the presence of suitable mental conditions. The things which appear in the sight of the modern man as a source of joy and pride, would appear to a pre-modern generation as dreadful, grisly and hideous works of the devil. As far as Bacon is concerned, his heart was eaten up with the desire of wealth and power, and it is up to you to call his desire of wealth as the dream and his philosophy as the interpretation, or vice versa, that is his philosophy as the dream and his life as the interpretation.
