My hubpages experience
68My hubpages experience so far...
I, like so many others, enjoy expressing myself in words. Hubpages is a place on the internet where expressing my thoughts on any subject is made possible. I found hubpages on google in mid February of 2009 while searching information on indigo children. At that time i didn't know what a hubpage was so i went to squidoo and did a search on hubpages. To my amazement i found out on squidoo that hubpages is the top competition of the master squid, Seth Godin.
People who write about stuff on the internet usually enjoy having others read their stuff. Squidoo users make lenses and hubbers make hubs. It's almost the same, difference being that the search engines see them differently. I have a few squidoo lenses and now i have a few hubs and i already see a difference in my search engine ranking between the two. I'm not certain that ranking is the official term here but what i'm saying is referring to the rank on a search engine page when someone searches for information on a topic. The first step to being found by Google, Yahoo, Altavista, AOL....ad infinitum, is to have your page or hub in the case of hubpages be indexed in the search engine library or filling system. This is not something you control. It's done through algorythms managed by IT specialists or computer language programmers at the host end.
My hubpages experience so far as been good in that respect. I know that my hubpages are being indexed by simply putting something like this in the search engines box and hit the click button
"hubpages + your hubpage filename"
This is so specific that you will come up on the first page and most likely in first position. If you find yourself then consider yourself to be in that search engines index.
The rest of this particular hub which i call "My hubpages experience" will be an ongoing update of my progress using this hub space on the internet.
Hubs progress
My hubs progress had pretty much halted to zero hubs in many days for awhile. I had lost interest until i received an email from Ryan Hupfer about a challenge which was about to begin where hubbers were being asked to go crazy and write up some hubpages.
30 hubs in 30 days or go for the whole enchalada and express yourself on hubpages in 100 different ways in 30 days....
Somehow that got me back to the hubbers circus and i got on the wild and crazy ride.
What would i use as subject matter for hubs i asked myself. I am tired of writing about 2012 issues and my 2012 blogs were about as stagnant as my hubber account.
But i never get tired of snakes, serpents, dragons, creepy crawlers, things that bite, things that scare you in the night, in the day, and in your dreams....
In your dreams i thought to myself....you can't write 100 hubpages about snakes in 30 days.
So i challenged myself and four days into this 30 hub challenge i am at 10 hubs on serpents or snakes.
